Report – Stronger through Partnership: A Framework for US-Republic of Korea Civil Nuclear Cooperation
EIRP Paper Highlights Key Conclusions from a November 2025 US-Korea Workshop on Nuclear Energy
EIRP is pleased to release a new paper assessing opportunities for enhancing US-Republic of Korea civil nuclear cooperation. Jackie Toth of New Hill Consulting wrote the paper, which summarizes key conclusions from a November 2025 workshop. The report is the latest installment in EIRP’s US-Korea Energy Series, edited by Paul Saunders.
On November 20, 2025, EIRP and the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum convened an off-the-record workshop to assess U.S.-South Korea cooperation on nuclear energy. EIRP Senior Advisor Paul Saunders moderated the session, which took place in downtown Washington, DC.
During the session, KAIF representatives made two on-the-record presentations, one that made the case for international cooperation on nuclear energy and another to provide background on KAIF and South Korea’s wider nuclear sector. Participants included about two dozen former officials, industry representatives, and policy experts.
